“I want to thank you for the most efficient and courteous service today. It was a huge relief to have the chimneys inspected and I do appreciate your fitting me in.
I was very impressed with your professional manner and I would like you to service the chimneys at appropriate intervals. I should still be managing and maintaining the house on King Rd., but please mail any notices to me at the Sylvania Ave. address above.
I would also like to thank Tom for the initial conversation in which he inspired confidence, gave a huge amount of information and was compassionate as well.”

“What do I have to say about your guys - Mike and Jon? Actually, I just wanted to tell you that they're both fantastic guys. They were so personable, so professional, so courteous, and just a delight to deal with, I was sad to see them go. They did everything they were supposed to do. They explained everything to me. They were just great, great, great. All around great! I couldn't have asked for 2 better guys. Thank you for all your help. I really enjoyed having Mike and Jon working at my home and the job they did.”

“Tiny Tom's Chimney Sweep head over heals beats the competition! You're very thorough and professional! You took your time. I'm extremely pleased with your work and I manage many private high priced homes. Thank you. P.S. Thanks for getting the dead squirrel out of the chimney!”

“The 42-year old house my wife and I recently purchased in Ottawa Hills required a little TLC and sprucing up before we moved in. When the remodeling work began, we discovered evidence of a possible problem with fireplace. The previous owners had used the fireplace extensively and it looked like it was ready for some special attention.
Using the Internet yellow pages as a reference, I called around to a number of chimney sweep companies before I came across Tiny Tom's Chimney Sweep. I had encountered price quotes for a simple sweeping that were all over the map and I was becoming discouraged. When I spoke to Tom, he told me that, while they were not the cheapest, he had been in the business for over 27 years and had experience that was unrivaled in the area. That made me feel much better and I made an appointment for an inspection and cleaning.
When Al came to inspect the fireplace, I told him that I had never owned or rented a home with a fireplace and had no idea what to do and what not to do. He was very helpful in explaining how the chimney worked and about the things that can be done to keep it working properly and, above all, safely. He even provided me with very informative printed material to keep on hand for future reference.
I found out that the fireplace in our new home had not been cleaned in over five years and that there had even been evidence of a chimney fire inside the flue. Al explained that this was a very dangerous condition which could cause a house fire. I learned that the chimney fire was caused by a build up of creosote inside the flue and that this build up had been baked on to the sides of the chimney flue (a condition called “glazing”). Al was able to remove most of the glazing with brushes and later removed the rest with chemicals. I also learned that, without a cap mounted on the top of the chimney, rain water can enter the flue and mix with the creosote to create an acid that will breakdown the mortar, not only in the firebox, but also in the flue as well. I worried that correcting these problems would cost thousands of dollars or that my fireplace would need to be rebuilt. Neither was the case. After the inspection, Al produced a detailed “condition report” to show me where the problems were, what steps needed to be taken to repair them, and the cost for each item. (Incidentally, every time he came he was very careful to not let anything from the fireplace get onto the floor or anywhere else.)
I can tell you that my experience with Tiny Tom's Chimney Sweep was an excellent one. Everyone was extremely professional, honest and, above all, they did a great job in making me feel comfortable that my fireplace was in great hands and safe for my family and me to use for many years to come.”

“I would like to tell you, that today I received some of the best home service I have had. I had called to get a routine dryer vent service. I had asked about having bird guards installed on my bathroom air vents, and was told that you could perform this task as well. I did mention that 2 of the vents were on the second story and was told that was fine as well.
The technician that came out to work for you today, Lee, was gracious and very helpful. He not only had to clear out 2 of the vents, that had started to get occupied, he had to deal with an uneven terrain. The last winter was not kind to the area he needed to place the ladder in and had to climb an unsteady ladder. I thanked Lee a couple of times while he was working. I just needed to let his employment know that he is an asset to his company.
I don't have a chimney and have been having a difficult time finding a resource for these 2 services. Thank you so much for the speed of service. I have not had an easy time of getting things done at my home because of my work schedule. Your timeframes for work scheduling and calling ahead, help in not disrupting a whole day. The friendly and helpful employees you hire made the need for repair work easier to have to deal with. Thank you.”

“Just wanted to send a quick note saying thanks for the wonderful service. I called the 800 number and spoke with Tom, who was very helpful and able to get me a next day appointment. Then my chimney sweep, Al, was EXCELLENT! He called to confirm the night before and then called to let me know he was a half an hour away. When he got to the house he was professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He was able to give me three different options and explained every detail. He even took time to talk to my kids! I just wanted to let you know how helpful and wonderful it was to have such a pleasant experience. I feel often times people only take the time to point out bad service, but I feel it is even more important to acknowledge those who go above and beyond. Thanks again for the service and professionalism you and your employees provide.
A new and now loyal customer.”

“I've met the rest and you're the best. I appreciate your honest, low-hype, professional manner. You do quality work with quality products at a reasonable price. Other competitors are last in line. I'm of the opinion that you care about the quality of your work and the needs of the customer. You don't rush a job or try to hype fireplace accessories. So many businesses lack what you have: common courtesy, dependability, fairness, professionalism and honesty.”
